Periods 5, 6 AP Lang Monday, October 12, 2015

Good Monday Morning AP Scholars!

I hope you all enjoyed some sunshine this weekend! I was fortunate to travel to Lanesboro and check out the Root River biking trail-- an amazing trail--wonderful sights, sounds, scents of the season! I highly recommend the trail and the charming surrounding communities.
Today in class, we will work on reviewing, internalizing, and applying the vocabulary from chapters 1 and 2 in the LOC textbook; if all goes as planned, we'll be ready for the assessment tomorrow. However, if we need more time for review and application, we may consider postponing the assessment until a week from today. Let's see how the review goes today and make the final determination at the end of the period today!

Directions:

Part 1: Create visual aids to share with class related to one or more of the target vocabulary words; I'll assign from the list below.  See samples in classroom.
Do not put the word on your visual aid.
Do not put the definition on your visual aid.
DO find or create three examples of each of your terms (images are optional)- one example per page in the largest font possible to still fit on one page. Print your example pages and be prepared to share with class as time permits today or tomorrow.

Part 2: Go to the following quizlet url's to review the vocabulary from Chapters 1 and 2 of the LOC textbook.  There are myriad typo's on Quizlet; please ignore them.  Work alone through 1) Flashcards and/or Learn   2) Scatter and/or Space Race;   3) "Test"
